Polytechnic Caltex Riau is largely supported by a huge oil industry that formerly called Caltex (California-Texas). Now, the name has been change to Chevron, but Polytechnic never changes its name. It is still Polytechnic Caltex Riau, the only one polytechnic in Pekanbaru.
